How to Train Your Dragon

About the show

On the island of Berk, fighting dragons is what Vikings do, and Hiccup is hopeless at it. Then he meets Toothless, a wounded dragon nobody has ever managed to tame, and discovers that everything his village believes might be wrong. Adapted from the DreamWorks film for young performers, with an epic score, a big ensemble and plenty of flight.

What to expect on the day

• Auditions last between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
• Round 1 is a movement call. The group is taught a short routine together so we can see musicality and movement ability. Those who are successful move on to the singing round.
• Round 2 is the singing audition: a 1 minute section of any song of their choice, prepared at home before the day.
• Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, with trainers or soft shoes.
