On the night of the Jellicle Ball, a tribe of cats gathers to decide which of them will be reborn. Told almost entirely through song and dance, Cats is built on T. S. Eliot's poems and Lloyd Webber's score, including Memory. It asks a lot of every performer: strong movement, tight harmonies and real character work. Few shows give an ensemble this much to do.
